Best Eye Wrinkle Cream Reviews – Which are the best?

Best Eye Wrinkle Cream
There are many things to look for when trying to find the best eye wrinkle cream, as well as many things to avoid. To start, the consumer should read the ingredients very carefully to make sure that there are no harmful agents or preservatives included in it. One should certainly beware of a cream that claims to have antioxidants, because that can be misleading; the consumer may interpret this to mean that the cream has healthy vitamins when it doesn’t, and, in fact, has harmful preservatives instead. Companies can get away with this because the preservative is technically an antioxidant for the cream, though not an antioxidant for the skin. The best eye wrinkle cream should have antioxidant vitamins in it, so one should read the ingredients with extra care to ensure that this is the case.

An absorbent, non-oily eye cream is favourable. Many marketed creams can contain oils which leave one’s skin feeling greasy instead of moisturised or healthy. An eye cream that is too oily may lead to other skin issues. In addition, the eyes are a sensitive and delicate area, and they should be treated with the utmost care. As a result, avoiding heavy scents and perfumes is a must when searching for the best eye wrinkle cream. Such perfumes can irritate the eyes and some have proven to cause long-term troubles as well, such as depression. They can clog the pores and therefore do more harm than good when one is trying to remove unwanted bags under the eyes. An eye wrinkle cream that firms and moisturises without being greasy or containing unwanted artificial perfumes is best.

Some creams contain white tea, which is a good additive in many instances. An old home remedy to remove bags from the eyes is to place cold, wet tea bags under the eyes. The addition of tea in some creams makes sense where this home remedy is proven true. One shouldn’t necessarily search for a cream that conceals in addition to helping remove the eye wrinkles; creams that conceal have been known to clog the pores, and that is highly counteractive in removing the wrinkles. The best eye wrinkle cream shouldn’t have to conceal, as it should work well enough to remove the wrinkles without concealing.

Eye Concealer Tips

In the dark with dim lighting, wrinkles, fine lines and blemishes around the eyes are difficult to spot. It is during the day, under the unforgiving sunlight and strong flourescent lighting that every skin blemish becomes noticeable. Makeup concealers help hide the imperfections, and is great at covering fine lines and dark eye circles. But the effects can back fire on you if concealers are not applied correctly. You end up with a creasing caking effect that can become worst than the blemishes themselves, and you end up with an uneven look that can become embarrassing to show.

Here are a few eye concealer tricks and trades you can employ to avoid the cracks from settling in.

So what is the trick?

The trick is to first apply a layer of light weight moisturiser / lotion to hydrate and moisten the skin in preparation for the foundation and concealer.

Choose the right Colour

The wrong concealer tone and shade can be disastrous. No matter how good your makeup skills are, using the incorrect shade will make your makeup appear caked on. The concealer should brighten up the skin around the eyes. If it doesn’t give your skin the slight brightening effect, the shade is most probably too dark.

Choose the right Texture

You want a foundation and concealer that is creamy in texture and lightweight to apply. If it looks too powdery after application, it is probably too lightweight. A cakey concealer that is too dry is bad news because it can highlight every fine line and wrinkle you have around the eyes.

Bare Escentuals Eye Shadow: Meet the Greens

July 17, 2010 · Posted in Eye Concealer · 8 Comments

Generally, I find that the matte shades that come in the “Meet the Greens” Wearable Eye Kit appear almost brown on my skin. In my opinion, these shades are not flattering on a blue eye. They’re nothing special, just okay. My iQuad includes the following shades: Wearable Green Dark Wearable Green Medium Wearable Green Light Well Rested Well Rested is not included in the Wearable Greens kit, but is available separately. I love the Well Rested shade. As you can see when I show the swatches, it is a perfect match for my skin tone and I frequently wear it alone (w/mascara of course) to work or school or as an under-eye concealer.
