May 21, 2010 · Posted in Eye Concealer · 6 Comments

I want the best one…I don’t care if it is 500 dollars. I have dark circles and very fair skin and want the best eye concealer that doesn’t dry out under my eyes and show lines when I smile either.
Currenlty I am using La Mer undereye cream and it has only helped a little bit in reducing the appearence of my dark circles so I still need cover up under them. HELP!!!

I recently started getting into makeup, and I was wondering if it’s necessary to set my under-eye concealer with powder? Also, how about blush? I don’t really want to buy a powder unless necessary. Let me know! Thanks!

How to Treat Under-Eye Dark Circles

May 21, 2010 · Posted in Eye Concealer · Comment

Under-eye dark circle is a common problem.Skincare clinics, beauticians and dermatologists receive hundreds of queries regarding dark circles and its treatment.Dark eyes are not desired. All look-conscious women and men would want to get rid of dark circles.

Before you start looking for the remedies, learn how dark circles and under-eye blemishes and wrinkles form and what are the reasons. Then we will learn how to get rid of it.

Blame your parents:

Dark circles can be hereditary.Skin around the eyelids is very thin, and hence, transparent. That makes the blood vessels visible;when blood passes through the veins, the skin gets a bluish shade.

Skin color and thickness of skin are inherited traits.Hence, dark eyes caused by these factors have no cure. However, some remedies to minimize the effect have been suggested later in the article.

Allergy–Viral Infection:

Eye infection, conjunctivitis etc.may lead to dark circles.Itchy and watery eyes due to bacterial infection, mold or any other injurious element often result in darker eyes.Such dark circles generally go off once the infection is cured. You must see a dermatology doctor to confirm the source.

Malnutrition–Anemia:

Balanced diet is very important to keep your skin in good shape.Lack of any of the essential nutrients in your diet may lead to certain health problems. Lack of iron often leads to dark circles.Since lack of iron is closely related to anemia,it is often said that anemia is the root cause of dark eyes.

Women having dark circles due to anemia should see a doctor and change their diet to cure the problem from root.

Dark circles may get prominent during menstruation and pregnancy due to iron deficiency. As the skin gets paler, the veins become more visible and lead to discoloration around eyes.

Overstrain:

Fatigue, tiredness, lack of sleep and overstrain may lead to dark circles. If you haven’t slept well for few days and had been too busy with work you are likely to grow dark circles around the eyes.If this is the case, take rest, relax and sleep 7 to 8 hours a day–those ugly patches will vanish soon.

Aging:

Collagen, the bridging unit of skin that tightens the skin cells, gets damaged with aging. As a result skin becomes more thin and transparent making the blood vessels more prominent and visible from outside. This is a permanent and irreversible change.

Other Reasons:

Poor blood circulation and dehydration often result in dark circles. These are temporary problems and goes off with proper treatment.

How to get rid of dark circles–Remedies:

If the reason is heredity or age,you won’t be able to remove those dark circles completely. It is suggested to use a good concealer to minimize the discoloration.

Otherwise, you need proper treatment and have to maintain good diet with adequate sleep and exercise to get rid of dark circles.

Eye Treatment for Dark Circles

May 21, 2010 · Posted in Eye Concealer · Comment

The treatments of dark circles in the eyes are going ultimate. In the past, eye treatments were just home remedies using cucumber and tea bags. Then there came synthetic and chemical treatments to dark circles like eye creams and concealers to hide them.

However, the quest for the most effective dark eye circle treatment never stopped. The most recent to add to the list is the laser treatment and cosmetic surgery.

Laser treatment and cosmetic surgery is preferred by people who earn their income using their physical features. Actors, singers and models are just some of them. Because laser treatment and cosmetic surgery is fast and effective, those who can afford them go for these treatments.

The laser treatment to remove dark circles includes the process called arcus marginalis to reposition fat. However, it is not plainly laser. It is also performed with an incision under the eyes called transconjuctival incision. Those who do this treatment promise that there will be no visible scars after the treatment.

As such, this type of eye treatment for dark circles is very much evasive. If you will undergo this treatment expect bleeding and a bit of bruising days after the treatment. However doctors promise that these all will be minimal.

This type of eye treatment will also cost you a big sum of fortune. However with the risks and dangers involve and the amount of money that you have to spend you may want to think twice before actually getting one. Also they have many other dangers like putting your eyes in real risk.
