Pinup Girl Makeup Tutorial

June 17, 2010 · Posted in Best Eye Concealer · Comment

Do you have a retro feeling and looking for that flawless look of Kat Von D, Katy Perry or Dita Von Teese? It is easy and fast to make, just fallow some simple steps and enjoy your pinup girl makeup. This look is the perfect mix of innocence and sexy attitude with the most feminine features.

The main idea of a pinup girl makeup is the cat-eye look and the hot red lips.

Makeup Base

Start by cleaning your face in the proper way, use a toner to close the pores and hydrate to make sure your skin is nourished well. You need to do this each time before applying a makeup, and not only. Having a proper skin care routine is important to keep your skin health and to prevent the aging effects.

Than make sure you have a flawless skin. If you don’t have major skin problems, use just a tinted moisturizer and a translucent powder for the matte finish.

In case you have some little flaws to hide, start by applying the concealer to hide the dark under-eye circles, than foundation and make sure it is the shade and texture that matches your skin type. Finish it with some powder to get a matte finish. Don’t forget to blend well, so that your skin would look naturally flawless. And never choose a different shade of makeup base than your natural skin tone, in case you don’t want to get the “mask” effect.

Eye Makeup

Now that you have the perfect matte makeup base, you can start working on your eye makeup. Apply a nude, champagne, toupe or vanilla slightly visible eye shadow on your eye lids. Than mark your upper eyelids with a thin black eyeshadow. Use makeup brushes to make sure you can get as close to your eyelashes as possible.

Now mark your eyes again, this time using the liquid eyeliner. Start from the inner corners of your eyes and go towards the outer corners. Start with the thinest line possible, which you can get thicker later if you want. At the outer corners, make some small tails to get the cat-eye look.

Apply a pair of false eye lashes to emphasize your eyes, than a slight touch of black eyeshadow on your eyelids again to correct the line if necessary after applying the lashes. It will also make the line softer, so if you prefer it strong and high contrasted, than stay at the eyeliner. But marking your eyes again is a must do to cover the band of the false lashes.

Curl your lashes and apply plenty of mascara.

Fill your eyebrows with a matte eyeshadow in only one shade darker than your natural lashes. This will emphasize your eyebrows and make them have a perfectly polished look. Use a makeup brush to do the best job.

Hottest Lips

To make sure you’ll have the most polished perfect hot lips, use a lip liner to contour your lips. This will keep the lipstick away from smudging, and if you want to make it long lasting, use the lip liner as a base to. Apply the lipstick and blot well before applying a second coat. Blot blot blot and you’re ready to charm.

Acne and Cosmetics

June 17, 2010 · Posted in Blemish Concealer · Comment

Acne! The very word strikes fear into the hearts of teenagers all over America.

It doesn’t matter much that it affects anywhere from 95% to 99% of them, when it happens to any one of them, you would think that they were the only kid who had ever had a zit.

Teenage boys hate acne just as much as teenage girls hate it. Boys just suffer through it but girls turn to cosmetics to try to hide it.

There is nothing wrong with a teenage girl or a young woman trying to make an acne outbreak appear less noticeable. It is a perfectly natural thing to do.

They use cosmetics anyway to enhance their appearances…make their lips redder or more full, give their cheeks a healthy glow and make their eyelashes appear longer so covering up a blemish is the next logical step.

The cosmetic industry knows that covering blemishes ranks right up there with rosy cheeks so they have developed products designed specifically for covering up blemishes. These products are called concealers. They come in many forms.

Some of them are in tubes like lipstick while some of them are in bottles like other liquid make up base products and some of them are in cake form like pressed face powder.

The one thing that all teenage girls and young women do need to remember when they use these products is that the products need to be thoroughly cleaned off before going to bed.

If left on the face, these products will contribute to clogging pores and intensify the acne outbreak.

The bottom line here is that using concealer products is just fine. If it makes you feel better about yourself, then go for it but before you go to bed, use your facial wash.

Clean your face completely, pat it dry with a clean towel and apply your acne fighting medications.

Choosing Your Los Angeles Cosmetic Surgeon

June 17, 2010 · Posted in Cosmetic Concealer · Comment

For plastic and reconstructive surgery in Los Angeles, there are hundreds of doctors to choose from. Perhaps you have decided on a cosmetic procedure, and done all the research, maybe even set aside some options for financing and recovery time. But how do you choose the right surgeon for you? There are several factors to consider in choosing a Los Angeles cosmetic surgeon that you can trust will get the job done right.

Experience and credentials often outweigh the costs. When considering serious plastic surgery procedures, like Los Angeles rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, tummy tuck, liposuction, breast augmentation, etc. you should be able to trust that you are in good hands. Any type of surgery has potential risks, and going under the knife should never be taken lightly. Aside from your plastic surgeon’s qualifications, he or she should also have qualified staff, including trained nurses, board certified anesthesiologist, as well as up-to-date equipment and adequate facilities for before, during, and after your surgery.

It is always a plus to note any certifications, and prestigious memberships your doctor is a part of. Being board certified means that your doctor has gone through rigorous training and testing. Experience and consistency are also important factors. Take a look at your doctor’s previous work. You should be able to see several examples of before and after pictures.

Dr. Vartany specializes in nasal surgery, including Los Angeles revision rhinoplasty, and aims at achieving natural and attractive results.  You can view what a more beautiful nose will look on you with the most advanced computer imaging at the time of your consultation with Dr. Vartany.

Los Angeles laser skin resurfacing, sometimes called a “laser peel,” uses a Carbon Dioxide or Erbium laser to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer. This new technique offers fine precision, little bleeding and less post-operative discomfort than other resurfacing methods. The skin will need several weeks to heal completely and a pink color will be present for a few weeks to months afterwards. This can be easily concealed with makeup until your new skin has a chance to reveal itself

Here?S A Big Wrinkle Reduction Tip — Wrinkle Mask!

June 17, 2010 · Posted in Facial Concealer · Comment

A quick search on the definition of MASK gave me the following results…

A covering worn on the face to conceal one’s identity, as:

A covering, as of cloth, that has openings for the eyes, entirely or partly conceals the face, and is worn especially at a masquerade ball. A grotesque or comical representation of a face, worn especially to frighten or amuse, as at Halloween. A facial covering worn for ritual. A figure of a head worn by actors in Greek and Roman drama to identify a character or trait and to amplify the voice.

Bear with me here. As we grow older our body’s ability to repair itself slows-down significantly. And due to this slowing down process, less collagen is produced and we lose elasticity to our skin which results in dryness or dehydration of the skin hence, producing wrinkles.

This is the most technical I want to get on this because if you’re like me, you want the simplest explanation to a problem followed by a proven solution.

So what is the solution?

What I found to be a great solution is using a mask; let’s call it a wrinkle mask.  But unlike our definition of masks above which is designed to conceal one’s identity, our mask is designed not to conceal but to bring out or bring back our true identity.

It is unfortunate that as we grow older many become embarrassed on how they look and this especially applies to women. Now we cannot stop the aging process but we sure can slow it down.

The key factor here is hydration. The better hydrated your skin the firmer and softer it will look.  Wrinkle lines will begin to be filled in giving you that healthy youthful appearance.

As always, begin with a good proper diet.  Lots of fish such as salmon, vegetable salads and fruits like cantaloupe. Foods such as these helps make your skin moist and supple.

As for the mask, you want to use one that can increase firmness and restore elasticity. A mask rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids is ideal in this case. Again, your overall goal here is hydration so limit your sun exposure or make sure you use some type of sun block, if being exposed to the sun for long periods of time.

You will confront dehydration both internally through foods that provides lots of moisture to your skin and externally using masks that also provides moisture rich minerals to your skin.  Lastly, do not forget to drink enough water throughout the day.

These solutions are simple and easy but just because they are do not discount their effectiveness. Many of life’s great problems have simple solutions and getting rid of wrinkles is definitely one of them.
